MAY 2009 NEWSLETTER

 

The first race is now only four weeks away. The birds have had 6 tosses so far and are in excellent condition. They were fitted with Electronic Timing Rings on Saturday, 9^th May and the spare birds allocated. A list showing the birds currently in the loft is attached.

 

Just a reminder of our race program for this year -

 

6^th June                                    Carrieton (Approx 248 klms)

4^th July                                     Parachilna (Approx 392 klms)

1^st August                                 Lyndhurst  (Approx 485 klms)

29^th August                               The Twins (Approx 606 klms)

26^th September             Marla (Approx 943 klms)

 

Please let Brian or Penny know if you intend coming to the races (for catering purposes), B.B.Q. lunch provided, BYO drinks, everyone welcome.

 

Please note that the club now has its own website www.adelaidepigeonclub.com which we will be using, instead of the SAHPA website, to post race results etc.

 

A list of the birds sent to the first race will be emailed to members on the evening of Friday, 5^th June. For the remaining 4 races, the entry list will be emailed on the Thursday evening before the race. The race results will be posted on the club website on the Saturday evenings (race day) and updated on the Monday evenings to show the birds that arrived on the second and third days. For those who receive information by mail, it is planned to send the newsletter and race results on the Tuesday after the race.
